Shani

Quite old sketch of my OC demon named Shani. 
 
I previously posted the pencil sketch on my social media accounts and now decided to color it. I rarely work with tradtional-digital mixes as I mostly prefer drawing clean digital  inking on top of scanned sketch, but trying some different coloring methods from time to time can give interesting results too. I particularly like that this generally simple sketch has some nice contours and subtle texture from graphite hatching.  

About Shani: He's old grumpy demon from same world and story of Yue (see the thumbnail below). This is first concept for him I've drawn ca 2 years ago, the tried to draw several different variations and somehow I still like the initial idea and return to it, although in modern version Shani has black hair. I'm also re-working the concept now to fit more my current cartoon-ish style
